Jain Statue Kurushpal

During the excavation near the Jain statue, the statue of Mahavir, random Jain monuments and other pictures were excavated in Kurushpal. The pictures of Gudhiari Shiva Ling were found in the banks of Gudhiari pond in the village named Kesharpal. The images of Lord Ganesha and Uma Maheswar are rare to find and can be seen here. A stone inscription in the Nagri script can be found here from which it is ascertained that the temple was constructed around 13th century AD by Kakatiya ruler Jayasimha. The place is connected with Bhanpuri on the national highway NH – 43, Raipur-Jaipur road. There are many places nearby w2hich are unexplored yet and needs an excavation to look through the ancient facts and figures. During the last excavations, beautiful brick pictures were found under the brick mounds in Bastar.
